This is a fabulous class for beginner sewists who would like to learn how to construct a garment. Sally will guide you through from drafting a pattern to fit to completion of your garment. Start with a simple A Line skirt, learning how to install a zipper, making buttonholes, stitching on buttons with your machine and blind hemming.

Join Lyall and share her passion for stitchery and/or patchwork. Lyall is a specialist in handwork with an emphasis on needleturn applique with a 3D twist. Choose your own project or let Lyall inspire you.
This is an ongoing class.
In this introductory course you will learn the basic skills of patchwork and quilting.
The course complete with notes will take you through the steps to create a fun quilt either cot or lap size. You will learn how to accurately cut and stitch and how to create perfectly matching seams, then continue on to adding sashing and borders, layering and basting, machine and hand quilting, and binding.
You’ll learn about specialised equipment that quilters use, and hopefully demystify the language used by quilters!
5 lesson course, once a fortnight will give you time to complete each step in between classes. Your quilt will be finished at the end!

These holiday workshops are fantastic for children to learn new skills.
The 1st Monday they will learn hand sewing & simple embroidery. The 2nd Monday they will learn how to use a sewing machine and make a simple bag or cushion.
The purpose of the project is to offer people who love to sew and make beautiful handmade things an opportunity to channel their sewing skills into making soft toys and Snuggle & Care Quilts which are donated to the Children's Hospital throughout the year. All sewers need some sewing experience and need to know how to use their own sewing machine. Sewers will need to bring their own sewing machine and basic sewing supplies on the day. The items created are to be donated back to the project.
